Serial # 34,XXX Range (Dates producttion around early to mid 1940's)
Bore Size is: Large
This is a vintage Blessing Instrument from the golden era of Blessing Instrument production.
During the 30's to 50's Blessing had a number of horns in production - the most famous was the Super Artist (Made famous by Clifford Brown)
The Artists are essentially the same horn - minus the nickel trimmings across the horn - instead sticking with the standard brass.
The modern versions of these horns pale in comparison to these legendary horns.
It's rare to find these caliber of horns in NZ.
Don't sleep on this one - the last horn like this lasted a week and a half.
An ideal horn for someone who wants to stand out and be different, bring some tone and power to the table - be for Jazz, Combo, Dixie or Band work.
They can have a lot of power and a full rich tone in the hands of someone who can harness that inner beast.
Condition:
- Solid and straight. It may have had some repairs in the past (unknown) but looking good. (It's raw brass so you can't hide much)
- Original valves were showing wear but still hold up well.
- The horn has been stipped, checked, springs replaced and is good to go.
Accessories:
- No case with this horn (we do have a few available for extra $$'s)
- Mouthpiece included Bach 10.5C (3/5 condition)
- Original Set of Valves (as mentioned above)
