They are not new to producing pocket trumpets - in fact they have been building them since the 90's under a different brand.
What is new is the redesign and comfort factor you get from some careful tube and finger ring placement.
You also get the benefit if a large bell which allows for a full sound and more feedback to the player.

The new Satin Lacquer Bell really finishes the look off on this horn also.
These are top quality horns manufactured in Taiwan by a small group of brass
workers. They are not mass produced like other brands - total production for a month
would only be around 1,000 units (across all models and instruments).
The Large Bore model was introduced late in 2009 along with the special finish
option for the bell.
I've compared these horns to small boutique style horns which sell for 1,000's more and players have chosen to play the Carol for better intonation, tonal quality and build.
